A Gold Dress and Golden Opportunities

It’s been a while since I’ve last spoken to you all and kept you updated on what’s been going on in my life so I’m going to take this post to cover just that. I can’t say that too much has changed but there are a couple things worth mentioning.

In late July I started my first job working as a cashier working at a local pizza place. I loved it when I first started working and I’m still loving it now. I’ve always been the kind of girl who preferred to be doing work over sitting at home doing nothing productive (although I’ve admittedly slept in till noon all this thanksgiving break; been a while since I’ve been able to do so). Through the time I’ve been working I’ve become really close friends with all of the other teenagers that work there and it can be a lot of fun since my job has a pretty laid back attitude about it.Another positive side is that most nights I do pretty well in tips on top of my usual pay. The only true downside to my job would be cleaning the bathrooms, you won’t believe some of the horror stories I’ve experienced trying to get those stalls looking nice. Don’t worry though, I’ll spare you some of those stories so I won’t strip you of your goodnight’s sleep. All in all though, it has been an amazing experience and I wouldn’t give that or the people I’ve met up for anything.

School wise not much has changed. I’m still taking honors and AP classes as well as my usual show choir class. I will say that some of my AP classes have been obstacles at times but none have been a greater obstacle than taking on a leadership position in show choir. I’ll just leave it at it’s hard being at the top no matter what method of leadership you use because it’ll never agree with everyone. I’ve had a hard time accepting that because I like to make sure that everyone is happy but I’ve come to find that that won’t always be the case. I still love the class, don’t get me wrong. I can never give up singing and dancing no matter how hard it gets, it’s just something that truly appeals to me and makes me happy. It’s hard to tell me that you would pass up the ability to perform to an 80’s hits medley if you were given the chance.

I’m going to stop rambling about my personal life now and tell you a bit about my homecoming outfit because it’s too good to not tell. I found everything I needed (really just the shoes and the dress) in one shopping day. My mom pulled out this gold dress out of the clearance section at Charlotte Russe and we both pretty much died instantly at the sight of the dress. We had multiple options in our head already but we decided to get the dress anyways because it said it was only $15, I wasn’t about to leave it for that price. When we went to check out the lady had told us it was marked down further to $5.90! I’m sorry but this was basically a steal! Our next priority then became searching for shoes in which we found a nice pair of gold heals at the JCPenny clearance section for $15. What I’m basically saying is yes, I did get a dress and shoes for homecoming for less than $25. I’m not gonna lie, I was a happy girl that day. Not only did I save a lot of money, but I felt like I was walking down the red carpet everywhere I went while at homecoming (it was far from the red carpet, it was more like a sweaty gym but you get where I’m coming from). In all I had an amazing night of just dancing and singing “Wrecking Ball” at the top of my lungs with my friends and ending the night with a sleepover that consisted of watching Legally Blonde and Clueless. Definitely a night to remember, now I just gotta wait for Prom to come around!

Inspiration Monday: Oxidation

Inspiration Monday: Oxidation
Inspiration Monday: Oxidation by Cardigans and Necklaces
I know what some of you guys may be thinking, “Hey she’s still alive! She didn’t get wiped off existence!” To further elaborate on that, I am still alive and yes I still exist. I’ll tell you guys what, 10th grade has sure been a step up from 9th and the pressure has been real. I’ve had so much work recently to try and focus on and it’s been difficult to try and create posts while keeping up my grades. I hit my second semester of 10th grade and time is flying by for me. It feels like just yesterday I was planning my outfit for the first day of school! I totally see what adults mean by saying that us teenagers grow up so fast. I even feel as if I’m growing up too fast, I really wish I could stop time and enjoy the now a bit better.
So to start off my first post in a good while I thought there would be no way better than with an Inspiration Monday! I’ve decided to use a picture of rust because I found this picture while doing some chemistry homework (we’re learning about chemical properties, such as oxidation). I thought the picture had this cool texture to it and I thought it would be fun to play around with metallic colors some more. Some of my favorite pieces would have to be the sneakers because they look absolutely stylish and you can style it in so many different ways! I also love the purse because of how well the texture of it matches the picture given.
Hopefully I will be able to start getting more posts in now that I don’t have an essay due a week because of my lit class, but I’m not complaining. I will confess to that class being my favorite class I’ve ever had and my lit teacher being the best teacher I ever had.

Strange Addictions: Disney Dudez

Disney-Dudez1

I decided that I was going to write about something a little different today! I have a fast and growing addiction to… Disney Dudez. You’re all probably thinking what’s that? The real question is who is that? Well my friends, I’m here to inform you that Disney Dudez is the best youtube video (at least in my opinion) made by a popular youtuber Todrick Hall.  Heck! The Disney Dudez videos are my favorite youtube videos of all time right now! When I tell you I’m obsessed, I mean that I seriously can’t stop listening to them! I have their songs on repeat at all times! Now I’m not one who has ever like boy bands, I really don’t like One Direction (sorry to all you Directioners). The only reason I love Disney Dudez so much is because I am a huge Disney fanatic and because they harmonize so stinking well! Plus the stories are kind of cute. So far they have created three videos to the Disney Dudez series and I really hope they decide to make many more because I can live off of them! The Disney Dudez are played by IM5 which is a real life boy band.

8278118_orig

The First Disney Dudez video has the boys dressed up as the Disney Princesses: Ariel, Cinderella, Mulan, Belle, and Jasmine. The Disney Princesses are shown at first breaking up with the boys, all for different reasons. Then the boys are back to… well, boys! They are in this classroom talking about how it sucks that their girls broke up with them. Then all of a sudden Mickey Mouse who is the janitor walks in and starts telling the boys that the only way to get over their broken hearts is by starting a boy band. Then they all start singing Disney songs but they throw in a twist! They sing famous Disney princess songs but along to other boy band tunes. For example: Aladin sang “A Whole New World” along to “That’s What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction. In the end, the girls are impressed by their amazing voices and slick moves and decide to get back together with them. I first found this video by going on the humor section of Pinterest. Once again I thank Pinterest for the miracle of amazing entertainment!

tumblr_n7vwfxNuc91rpg02lo1_500

The second Disney Dudez is about how Prince Charming has left Disney Dudez and the boys have to find another member for the group. They have a casting call and we see characters such as Tarzan, Sebastian, Pinocchio, and Daffy Duck. When the boys are about to give up, here walks in Elsa. When I first saw this all I could think was “what the heck is Elsa doing in a boy band casting?!” Elsa starts singing “Let it go” for her/his audition. When Elsa first sings it’s horrific and ear shattering. Then the boys start singing about how Elsa needs some work. During this song we see Elsa transform into Prince Philip and busts out some very sick moves! Then they sing “Do you want to build a boy band?” which went along to the tune of “Do you want to build a boy band?” Prince Philip is then taken in into Disney Dudez and they end the video with all the boys harmonizing to Let it go which made me smile so hard! This was my favorite Disney Dudez video because I liked the harmonization of all the boys, I love the Frozen songs,it made me laugh, and because they brought in Elsa. Elsa is my favorite princess/queen because I feel like I can relate to her, plus she has an amazing dress!

The third Disney Dudez I will admit was not as good as the first two. In the third Disney Dudez the Disney princess are back to breaking up with the boys, but this time because they let fame get to their heads. Mickey then walks in and explains to them how they have let fame get to their heads and help the boys come up with ideas to getting their girls back. They then decided that they were going to perform in their concert with their hearts out their for the girls. They sing more Disney Songs but with a modern and hipper twist to it. Long story short, the boys impress the girls enough with their vocal chords that the girls come crawling back.

Now I’ve decided that I was going to let you in on which one of the Disney Dudez is my favorite. I mean whenever there is a band you know that we each are all bound to love one more than the others. This one that stood out to me the most was the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. To me he is one of the cutest boys there and his voice is amazing! Plus in all of his videos he is super funny and he seems to have a lot of personality. His real name is Dana Vaughns. He is the youngest member of IM5 and is only 16. I have to say that the first time I saw him play Belle he made me laugh really hard and that when I fell in love with that Disney Dude.

The reason I decided to write this post is because these videos bring some joy to my life and when I feel down I can watch them and then immediately have a smile on my face. I wanted to share them with you guys hoping you all would feel the same way about them as I do. I also want you guys to leave some comments on what your opinions are of the videos if you’ve watched them and who is your favorite character/band member and why?

Style Cravings: Body Chains

Body Chains

The first time I heard of body chains I thought of the chains that magicians wrap themselves up in and then try to escape out of, not a cute piece of jewelry. The first few celebrities who hit this trend hard where Miley Cyrus and Rihanna. I don’t know about you but I don’t really trust Miley Cyrus’s clothing style, I mean she was well know for JUST wearing a wrecking ball. Rihanna I don’t really trust either, she doesn’t tend to cover up her body very much. At least going off some past and more recent showings of her body, most recent would be the see through mesh dress at the CFDA Awards. I decided to give some fresh faces. The one on the far right in the black bikini is Vanessa Hudgens, which is rocking the body chain under the bikini top. The one in the middle is Acacia Brinley Clark with a simple body chain underneath the crop top. The one on the left is model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing a gray suit and a very simple and subtle body chain where it’s barely noticeable, but still very chic.

c600x453

Next I wanted to show you guys how the body chains looked on different pieces of clothing. The one on the right is a body chain that looks more like shoulder pads made out of chains but is still super pretty. What I love about this outfit is how the body chain balances out with the skirt on the bottom, also I love the look of the gold body chain on the black crop top. The outfit in the middle is a very simple silver body chain under a white crop top. Note: Even though two of the girls are wearing crop tops, they styled it right to where they don’t look trashy, but quite elegant. The girl on the left side is wearing a simple grey dress with a very simple body chain. The dress was pretty boring by itself so by adding the body chain she gave it a better look.

c600x438

Body chains mostly come in gold and silver like any ordinary neck chain. There have been two colors so far that I’ve seen where the neck chains color contrast looks amazing, which are black and white. White  is a very pretty and simple color and it goes with every color. A very dark silver chain is preferred for a better contrast. You can style all sort of looks with the body chains as well. In the top left corner you have a boho body chain look. On the bottom left is a casual body chain look. On the right bottom corner you have an elegant body chain look. I wanted to talk a bit more on how a body chain such as the one on the bottom right can be used at weddings. Some brides are faced with the mother of the brides and what they would like the daughter to wear. Some moms want the daughters to wear something a bit more classic instead of hip or trendy. So what the daughter could do is wear a simpler dress with one of these very elegant body chains over it for a later in the night look. I think that would be a very cute wedding look. You can also add a body chain to a simple article of clothing such as the tank top or crop top above and and make it a very chic look. I added to top right picture because it was seen on the runways and I thought it would be cool to add it. Just imagine how much that body chain would probably cost.

c600x433

The other color that looks really well with a body chain on top is black. On the top row I put in a one piece with a body chain on top because you don’t only have to wear them with bikinis. When I was looking up different body chains a majority of the styles were bikinis with the body chain on top. Would I wear a body chain with a bathing suit? No, not really. I mean if it get’s hot the chain can start to burn you and if the chain isn’t real gold or silver and I got into the water it will rust. Now I love swimming and I’m a hardcore swimmer, I like to jump off ledges into the water and do tons of flips and dives. If I were to do all of those things in a body chain then it would be sure to come off or break. Most of the body chains I found that go on top of black outfits are not very simple and accentuate the curves better. I prefer to see a body chain on top of black rather than white because I feel like they stand out a lot better and looks a lot more stylish. Plus, you don’t have to be stick skinny to wear a body chain, now some may not look as right but a lot of girls can wear body chains. They all have different shapes that fit each body type.

For a very simple body chain on ebay is no more than ten dollars which is really good for a teen’s budget. The body chains come in all sort of different shapes and sizes which I like because it adds all sort of different styles. Most of the body chains come in either silver or gold but I have seen a few that come with colored beads to add some more color. Would I wear a body chain myself? Oh yeah, definitely! I’m a really skinny person so I don’t really have curves, some of these body chains might be able to give the illusion that I do. Plus I really like all the different styles I can create with a body chain, but I still wouldn’t wear it with any sort of bathing suit. Is this a style that you guys are craving?

FFF: Fab 50 Friday

FFF: Fab Fifty Friday
FFF: Fab Fifty Friday by teen fashion blog

For this Fab Fifty I decided I wanted to make an outfit that would look great on the water front. The first thing that came to mind when I thought water front was a sailor. The thing is that I’m not going to put a sailor outfit as a Fab Fifty because it’s way too expected, and kind of a bore. I decided to give a little flirt and flair to the original sailor outfit and make it something that a person can actually wear out to public places. Plus I have been on many vacations that have water fronts but never had the perfect outfit for it. So being able to create an affordable Fab Fifty Friday will help spark up some inspiration outfits for the next time I go on vacation.

For this outfit I found a black and white tube top under a white cardigan, both are from H&M. I paired it with some navy blue slacks that are also from H&M. The shoes as well come from H&M and they’re white with lace on top. I was really lucky to be able to find a majority of an outfit at H&M. But don’t get me wrong, just because I was able to find an outfit in the same store so quickly doesn’t mean I didn’t go take small sneak peaks at other stores. The only reason I was able to find the necklace and didn’t settle for anything at H&M was because I went to Charming Charlies as well to look at their stuff and found the perfect necklace! I love the color navy blue and coral together, the colors just go so well together. The whole outfit cost $50.99 which was a really good deal.

I know that I’ve never really mentioned the background pictures except for when I do Inspiration Mondays, but I was so lucky to find these pictures. The sail boat helped me paint that water front outfit picture in my head and matched the outfit very well. The whole picture together looks as if I created a post card which is a really cool look.

This outfit is perfect to wear to all sorts of places. I already know that I’m getting close to the age of getting a job so if I ever needed an outfit to wear for a day on the job this would be perfect. This is also a great outfit to wear when on vacation, you can enjoy the view in a comfortable yet stylish way. I definitely wish I owned this outfit last year when I went to Tennessee and walked along the river side.

AFI Top 100 Movies #5: Unforgiven, A Gun Fighter’s Internal Struggle

screenshot-med-01

A few days ago my mom had me continue my cultural journey by watching another movie that was on the list. The next movie we watched was Unforgiven. My dad was telling me about how Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman starred in it. The minute I heard the name Morgan Freeman I was all ears. My school seems to be really obsessed with Morgan Freeman because of his voice. A lot of my friends tell me that if they had someone to narrate their life then it would be Morgan Freeman. That makes sense!

The movie goes back to the Old West. Cowboys and gun fighters roam the towns on horseback with guns in their holsters and saloons are THE place to hang out. Will Munny (Clint Eastwood) is approached by the Schofield Kid because the kid wants Will to help him kill a guy who cut up a prostitute. There was a thousand dollars reward offered by the prostitutes so he figured that with Will’s help they would be able to collect. The kid goes to Will because he has a past of killing people for money. He finds a man that “changed” his ways for his now deceased wife. In the end Will decides to go through with it because he needs the money to help raise his kids. Will had always had a partner (Ned-Morgan Freeman) when he did his killings/jobs, so he brings him along and decides to split the money three ways. The whole movie is these three men going around looking for the two guys who cut the girl up without being caught by Little Bill, the town sheriff.  No guns are allowed in Big Whiskey (town) and this is a law that Little Bill is going to enforce even if he has to kill a couple of people in the process. That guy was an idiot, I mean what cowboy isn’t going to bring a gun wherever he goes? I guess that my takeaway was the question: can a bad man really change his ways?

All through out the movie the kid, Ned, and some of the prostitutes offer Will liquor but he turns it down. He gave up drinking a long time ago because his wife wanted him to give it up as well as his bad guy past. Near the end he finds out that his best friend Ned was killed by little Bill even though Ned backed out of killing anybody. When he finds out Ned is dead he goes into town to seek revenge. When he first rides into town he drinks a bottle of whiskey and when it’s empty he throws it on the ground. This shows how some events touch a person so much that it causes them to lose sense of what is right and wrong although in my opinion he lost sense of right and wrong at the beginning of the movie when he decided to take the law into his own hands. In the movie one of the prostitutes offers him a “free one” and he turns it down because he still has loyalty to his wife. I find it cute that even though his wife was dead he still wanted to remain faithful to her, no matter what. The man had some deeply rooted convictions for some things and no moral for others. Yikes! I think that the movie is called Unforgiven because even though he acts cool about killing people, at the end of the day he really can’t forgive himself for the bad things he has done. I don’t think that there can’t be anything worst than a person’s internal guilt because conscience can be harsher than any judge out there.

I did enjoy the movie because the effects weren’t bad and the story was interesting. There was some action but for a western movie I kind of wish there was a little bit more. I also feel like the story didn’t concentrate enough on Will, Ned, and the kid but a bit more on Little Bill and his past than they needed to. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they included some of his violent history but I wish they didn’t include so much. I do recommend people to watch this movie because it was a decent movie and I enjoyed putting myself into some of the characters shoes.

One of the funniest moments in the movie was when Little Bill kept calling the book about English Bob the Duke of Death the Duck of Death, the writer who showed him the book kept trying to explain to him that it said Duke but Little Bill would just ignore his little comment.

AFI Top 100 Movies #3: Saving Private Ryan, Earning It!

saving-private-ryan-poster-copy

I was really excited about watching this movie because I heard about it a lot and a few of my guy friends had told me it was their favorite movie. One of them even told me that this movie was the only to make him cry. I’m really into emotional movies that make me cry because that means that the message and the acting is so powerful that it sparks up an emotion in me, plus I saw that the movie had Tom Hanks in it and that moved me to watch the movie as well.

So far out of all the movies I have written about, Saving Private Ryan has been the best by far! I really liked this movie and was hooked from the very beginning. Let me tell you guys a little bit about myself, I’m really into action. You throw action into a movie and I’ll have my eyes glued to the screen no problem. Saving Private Ryan was packed full of action. One of the first scenes from the movie is them fighting on the beach and everyone was getting killed. Blood and guts rained over the soldiers as they fought for their lives and their country. It was a very gory movie seeing how soldiers were being blown up into pieces, limbs were being torn off their bodies, and blood was everywhere. Another thing you guys should know about me, I’m not very good with blood. Even if it’s in a movie, I see a lot of blood and I feel sick to my stomach. I know I’m weird, I like action movies but get sick at the sight of blood. Something I found interesting was that while the soldiers were getting shot at, there were medics on the battlefield trying not to get hit by bullets and perform surgery at the same time. Talk about high stress levels! I know I wouldn’t be focused enough to try and get a bullet out of another man, I’d be running around like a headless chicken and praying I don’t get shot. I’ve complained about the other movies having cheesy effects but the effects in this movie were on point and fantastic! Everything looked so realistic which didn’t help with my blood situation but still cool. Seeing this movie has helped open my eyes to see the kind of risks that our soldiers put themselves in every day trying to protect us and our country. I really salute you all that are currently fighting or have fought in a war. You guys are true heroes and I appreciate everything you do. Something that connects all three movies is that they all mention World War II in them. Citizen Kane talked about the Germans and soldiers, Casablanca was a place that rich french people went to during the war.

saving-private-ryan-script-vin-diesel-2

Me as the little girl 🙂

While watching the movie I have noticed a lot of themes in the movie which I found very touching.  In the movie one of the men that were on the mission went to go try and save this little girl even though his captain said to leave her. The soldier felt like he could help the little girl but instead he got shot. So I started thinking, can someone afford to keep their humanity on high risk situations like this or should they stick to their mission? I feel like this showed that once you go into war your main focus is to try and get rid of the enemy and protect your country so everything else that would seem right is not done because they have to stick to their specific mission. Something else I found interesting is how this movie portrayed the saying “one for all and all for one”. Basically the whole movie is these 8 soldiers risking their own lives to send private Ryan back to his mother because his other three brothers had died int he war and they could not put Mrs. Ryan through another heartbreak of losing four sons. All of the 8 soldiers stuck by each other and protected each other from harm as best they could and went to go save another one of their fellow soldiers. This shows how in the army you can form such a tight bond with each other that it becomes a brotherhood.

One of the saddest parts in the movie to me was when they went to go tell mama Ryan that three of her sons had died. This took place in World War II so they didn’t get a phone call, they would have a vehicle drive up to your house and someone would tell you. They showed an army green car pulling up the drive way and mama Ryan looking out the window at the car so you could tell that she knew one of her sons had died but she was praying that it wasn’t true. The worst part is that the audience knows she lost all three of her sons but she doesn’t so I’m waiting there crawled up in a ball imagining how difficult it must be to know that three of your sons died and you still have another one fighting in that war.

Now I’m about to rant a little here about this soldier, Upham. He was taken on the mission because they needed someone who could speak German to go along with them. I liked him at first because he kept the soldiers in the group sane and tried to restore balance and good in them. The soldiers were going to kill a German soldier because he shot and killed one of their friends but Upham spoke some sense into them and they ended up releasing him. Later in the movie that same German soldier comes back and is fighting another one of his fellow soldiers and Upham knows. But what does he do? He is so scared that fear paralyzes him, hides behind the stairs and listens to a friend of his get killed by someone he gave a chance to live. Don’t just sit there and listen to your friend get beat up! Try and help the poor guy!  I know that Upham was afraid of killing people but instead of killing the guy you could shoot him in the leg or the arm so that he stops beating up your friend. The worst part is that after the German soldier killed his friend he just watches the German soldier go down the stairs and back into battle. He then sits on the stairs and cries some more. Life as he knew it changed forever as he ends up killing that same German that he saved in the beginning towards the end of the movie. His decision to save that German ended up costing the lifes of many of his fellow soldiers. I’m going to leave you with a question that I don’t have an answer to: Do you think it is possible to keep your humanity during times of war? Can you afford to keep your humanity during times of war?

There really wasn’t any fashion to look at in this movie since they were concentrating more on the action and the soldiers that were fighting. I think this movie was a great movie for people to watch because it opens your eyes to look at it a little more from a soldier’s perspective. So now I think about how people complain about how much they hate their jobs but soldiers are risking their lives fighting for a majority of people they don’t even know but they still sign up. I am so grateful for the life I am given and to know that these soldiers help me live it and keep me and the rest of the country safe.

Teen Fashion: Floral Influence

Flower

Flower 3

Flowers 5

Ever since I was smaller I have always seen flowers used in a romantic way. I would see my dad bring home flowers for my mom on their anniversaries or sometimes my dad will just surprise her with a nice bouquet. I would watch some movies where the guy would always give a girl flowers when trying to get her attention. I think it’s such a sweet gesture because flowers may not cost that much, but it’s the small gestures that shows that the person cares. I look forward to the day when a guy will surprise me with flowers and give me a themed date like Augustus Waters does in the Fault In Our Stars.

The outfit that I’m wearing above consists of a floral dress from Abercrombie. The colors include pastel pinks, blues, yellows, and greens. I wore a green sleeve less cover up that matched the green leaves in the dress. The cover up looked a little loose and bland so I added a pink belt over it. Now some of you may remember these combat boots and DIY boot socks from one of my earlier posts. I wore some very simple stud white flower earrings and for the hands I wore two thin bracelets. One bracelet was a white bow and the other one was a pink infinity sign with a heart.

Flowers are symbolic for multiple things, but the main ones are love, unity, growth, and birth. These words are very powerful to the human language and I find it very suiting how an object of nature as beautiful as flowers get’s the honor of symbolizing them. Flowers are nature’s art, it’s a way of looking at beauty and appreciating the sight.

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine to the soul”- Luther Burbank

Style Cravings: Skinnies and Midi Rings

Midi rings

I was looking at Pinterest the other day and found a picture of a skinny ring with a nice and clean design, a very unpretentious ring and I started wondering if I could find more of them. As I started diving into the world of the skinnies I was more and more convinced that these thin circles would end up been a trend as it has the power of making the hand look super feminine. I was not surprised to discover that celebrities such as Rihanna, Vanessa Hudgens, and Kristen Stewart have already been sporting them.

Midi rings are rings for your fingers just like any other ring. The difference about midi rings is that they are thinner, you  can layer them with other rings, and they don’t go all the way down your finger. I think these rings are super cute and stylish!  I prefer the midi rings to be stacked instead of just one because it adds variety and makes the hand look complete.

midi rings2

Midi rings come in all sort of shapes, sizes, and colors.  I like looking through the different midi rings and looking at all the different designs they have. I’m not much of a ring person because I can never seem to find the right size for my fingers. It kind of stinks that it’s difficult to find rings for my finger because I just really love the style and all I can do when I see these rings is imagine all the countless outfits I can create with them. It won’t be very hard trying to create an outfit since most of the rings come in either silver or gold so they can match many outfits.

midi rings 3

Most of the styles I included in the pictures are from Etsy however there are multiple websites for you guys to go and order some of these for yourselves. The picture with the guitar at the top shows Willow and Bloch skinny that you can order from their site as well. The options are unlimited! Even though the skinnies and midi rings alone are super cute, a little tip would be to make sure that your finger nails are in good shape and maybe even painted to go along with the cute ring look. I mean think about it, if your nails are not up to par, then it will distract people’s eyes from looking at the nails instead of the rings. Midi rings can change up a style and add some flare to a boring outfit.

Me, Myself, and I: Middle Child

Middle Child

It’s been a while since the last time I did a Me, Myself, and I post and I decided to do yet another one! I wanted to talk about two of some very important people in my life, my sisters. My oldest sister’s name is Leighann and my younger sisters name is Megan. If you haven’t been able to guess yet, I’m the middle child of the family. Leighann is 21 and Megan is 13. Leighann has never really lived with us because she’s my half sister and she lives with her mom, but now that she’s 21 she moved out of her mom’s house. Even though I don’t get to see her as much as I would like to, I still always miss her and lover her. My younger sister lives in the same house as me so it can get a little fussy when having two teenagers in the same environment most of the day. My little sister and I fight a lot and we have our differences, some of our fights are really stupid! Although we fight a lot, I love her so much and she’s one of my best friends (a long with my mom of course). It’s becoming hard to hang out with my little sister now that we both don’t share a lot of the same interests. When we were smaller all we would do was play with dolls and go outside and play princess, but we’ve both grown out of that stage. Something that we both enjoy though is food, I like to cook sometimes and she likes to eat. Another interest we share is beauty, so what we will do is paint each others nails or do each others makeup. The way we found these similar interests was by sitting down together and talking about what we could do to spend more time with each other (which was my mom’s plan). Just yesterday my sister and I were watching George Lopez outside and we would both laugh so hard. Even though we just watched a comedian, I don’t think it will be easy to forget that day when all we did was just laugh together for the first time in a while. The picture above is a picture of my sisters and I when we went out on a little lunch and shop trip with my parents. That was a fun day because I got to be with all my sisters and at the same time go shopping!
