I’m A Sinner Series: Lust Outfit

Now keep in mind when I say that I’m a sinner, it means that I’m just human and we all have points where we commit a sin.  I’ve decided to do an “I’m A Sinner” series because I thought it would be cool to portray certain sins through outfits. The order I decided to post each outfit is according to the order that it is seen in Dante’s Inferno. By now you all know I’m a huge literature fan and I can read almost anything and I will be interested. When I first read Dante’s Inferno I was completely hooked because I love how the sinners are punished based on the irony of their sin.

I’ve decided to start off with lust because it’s the first circle of sin other than Limbo. People think this circle is only dedicated for those with strong sexual desires but Dante also puts in this circle those who have died for love. Such as Romeo and Juliet, they both killed themselves for love so they would be placed in the lust circle. The sinners are stuck in a hurricane of fire to show the irony for their fiery passions. Now I have mentioned that we are all sinners but I haven’t committed an act of lust. I mean what else do you expect out of a fifteen year old?

As you can see I used a lot of red in the outfit because I wanted to show a fiery passion through the outfit. I mean what can be more fiery than the color red and an outfit with a lot of attitude? For some reason when I see this outfit I can imagine a woman with a lot of confidence and sass wearing it which is more of what I was going for when trying to create and outfit for this sin.

Black is a color of darkness and when we think of the color black we don’t usually think of pleasant things. I know when I think of the color black I think of funerals and the song “Back in Black” by AC/DC. I don’t tend to be completely happy when I think of the color either. I love wearing the color though, I think it looks great and it’s a very mature color. Most girls like to wear popping colors, but I have a lot of dark clothes. Black is seen as a very sexy color, people think that the only way to doing that is by getting themselves that little black dress every girl needs.

This outfit was created so that I can show you guys that black does not only have to represent darkness and that the only way to make black a nice sexy color is by only getting a short black or fitting dress. I decided to start with a black crop top, but I’m not too fond of showing my stomach so I decided to add a sheer polka doted shirt on top of it so that it could hide a little more skin. I added some black skinny jeans to the outfit. I think black jeans are amazing, I just love how it can contrast against some of the colors found in the shirts. I added some black sparkly jewelry because every girl needs a little sparkle. The shoes are black and the purse are black as well but they look very chic. I added the nails because I love the glossy black French look against the matted black nail polish. It gives texture to the nails, and I like the oddness of it. I used a red lipstick because that popping color at the top would compliment the outfit very well. Bold lips are usually a pretty good choice when wearing dark colors.
