I’m A Sinner Series: Greed Outfit

I'm a Sinner Series: Greed Outfit

When I think of Greed my mind always goes back to my childhood when I used to watch Spongebob Squarepants. Mr.Krabs truly represented greed with his obsession over money and not wanting to spend a single cent. I remember there was this one episode where they had a stingiest Crab award that went to a crab who truly demonstrated their ability to go a long way by spending little to no money. Greed is the next sin in Dante’s Inferno and it is seen as a sin because you’re keeping something to yourself and not doing anything valuable with it so therefore it’s being wasteful. We all have had moments where we’ve been a little greedy. There have been times where I would see something that I need but then think about how I don’t want to spend my money on it. I have been thinking about this sin and I wonder, would it be greed to possess a skill or a talent and not use it?

This outfit is pretty self explanatory as to why it represents greed. I mean there is money within the outfit itself. Also the yellow and the gold in the outfit is supposed to reflect on currency. I mean someone has got to be pretty protective of their money when they’ve even got it around their neck. I totally feel like this is an outfit Mr. Krabs would look into just so he can count the coins he’s got around his neck. 🙂

I know what some of you guys may be thinking, “Hey she’s still alive! She didn’t get wiped off existence!” To further elaborate on that, I am still alive and yes I still exist. I’ll tell you guys what, 10th grade has sure been a step up from 9th and the pressure has been real. I’ve had so much work recently to try and focus on and it’s been difficult to try and create posts while keeping up my grades. I hit my second semester of 10th grade and time is flying by for me. It feels like just yesterday I was planning my outfit for the first day of school! I totally see what adults mean by saying that us teenagers grow up so fast. I even feel as if I’m growing up too fast, I really wish I could stop time and enjoy the now a bit better.
So to start off my first post in a good while I thought there would be no way better than with an Inspiration Monday! I’ve decided to use a picture of rust because I found this picture while doing some chemistry homework (we’re learning about chemical properties, such as oxidation). I thought the picture had this cool texture to it and I thought it would be fun to play around with metallic colors some more. Some of my favorite pieces would have to be the sneakers because they look absolutely stylish and you can style it in so many different ways! I also love the purse because of how well the texture of it matches the picture given.
Hopefully I will be able to start getting more posts in now that I don’t have an essay due a week because of my lit class, but I’m not complaining. I will confess to that class being my favorite class I’ve ever had and my lit teacher being the best teacher I ever had.
