Inspiration Monday: Crane on Water

Inspiration Monday: Crane on water

This Inspiration Monday I decided to change it up a little bit and throw a little curve ball at you guys. Some of you who have read my earlier posts are used to seeing one outfit at a time for each Inspiration Monday, but how fun would it be to throw two outfits at you guys. Like usual, I find most of my Inspiration Mondays on the wonderful website of Pinterest! Pinterest satisfies my craving for something new and pretty, or depending on my mood, funny. Maybe one day I’ll do an Inspiration Monday with something humorous for you guys.

This inspiration Monday I found a picture of a crane on water. What I love about the picture is the flexibility of the crane, the shape it’s making with it’s body is so interesting. I also like how it has the water rippling under the bird blurring the bird’s reflection. Some artists would take it as a symbol or a metaphor even to another meaning, a much deeper meaning. Some artist may just see a bird stretching into a weird shape. What I also love about this crane is the color pallet used. The blues are so subtle and calm and then you have a bright orange as the beak which brings your main focus to the bird’s beak and head due to the contrast of the colors upon each other. The wings of the bird leads you directly to the beak, it looks as if it’s pointing at the beak. This is how I know that the photographer wanted the focus point to be the beak.

Like I have mentioned before, I decided to use two outfits for this picture. Both outfits share one thing in common, they both share the same skirt. The outfit on the left has a icy blue crop top like shirt. This would be a super cute outfit if the skirt is high wasted. The purse is a small light orange purse. The jewelry on the neck is very simple. It’s just a chain necklace with an orange charm. The earrings are orange as well. The jewelry on the hand is an orange watch layered with a bracelet that has orange beads and rose gold bullets. I also decided to give you guys a choice between two different shoes. The shoe on the left is a high heel with orange, black, and teal on the inside. The shoe on the right is an orange van, which are a super comfortable shoe by the way.

The outfit on the right has an icy blue cardigan, which is more appropriate for a setting such as school or work. The purse is rectangular and bright orange. The neck jewelry is a lot more detailed than the outfit on the left. The necklaces is a dark blue with orange bead looking things coming out of the bottom. The earrings have both a bright orange and a dark blue made out of crystals. The bracelet has the icy blue color, dark blue, and a bright orange in a striped pattern. Both the high heel and flats have a floral pattern, but the colors are different. The heel has more of subtle orange, bright orange, icy blue, and dark blue. The flat has the icy blue, dark blue, and the bright orange.

I hope you guys enjoyed your little Inspiration Monday surprise because I might be throwing back at you all a few more here and there. This photograph I flipped on Polyvore to look as if there are two different sides of the reflection. I tried to display that using the outfits showing one side of the mirror, which is the young and flirty side. Then there is the other side that shows the more classy and sophisticated side. What both parts of the mirror have in common is that they are both fun in colors and style.
